This well written book provides comprehensive guidelines on what constitutes a business process and how to put those guidelines to work with specific techniques for understanding business processes and clarifying their scope.

The book intelligently details the designing of the ‘to be’ process and how to translate into use cases scenarios and data modelling.

An interesting history of process is provided, from the reengineering revolution and consequent misinterpretation to the current general acceptance and awareness of its fundamental link to business performance. The methodology of modelling the ‘as is’ process and designing the ‘to be’ process is well described with useful, pragmatic examples.  This down-to-earth book is easy to read, lightened with some humour, that any manager or consultant will find very useful if involved in change management and improving operational performance.
