The team have a proven track record of successfully working with clients to implement significant business change, including filling the roles of Project/Programme Manager, Business Process Designer and Strategic partner. We have successfully provided high quality, customer specific business consultancy services to such leading organisations as the Health and Safety Authority, AIB Bank, Dublin City Council, Bank of Ireland, UCD and First Active.
As noted above, our primary focus is on enabling business change through focusing on Business Process Improvement. However, to succeed in this endeavour we recognise the need to have a range of skills including Project/Programme Management, Business Modelling, Strategic Analysis and Technical Appreciation particularly at a strategic level and in Change Management. On each project, we endeavour to effect skills transfer to client staff so that the skill set of the organisation is enhanced for the future.

The range of services that we provide includes the following:
Business Strategy Development
Claritas Consulting help our clients with articulating, validating and implementing business strategies. In doing so, our approach is to guide clients through the process of making strategic choices that have the greatest potential to deliver both short-term results and long-term value. Business strategy development involves analysing the environment and markets in which the business operates; evaluating the potential options for its development and making the changes to maximise the opportunities identified.
Our approach to Project Management is based on the PRINCE 2 methodology, which is a structured methodology representing best practice in this area. In each case we work with the client in customising our approach to suit the individual requirements of the project. In practical terms we fulfil the Project Management role typically in one of two ways. In some cases we take complete responsibility for the successful completion of the project on behalf of the client. In other cases we have worked and supported the client’s Project Manager who will have responsibility within the client organisation for the implementation of the project. We have found that this approach is popular with clients as it provides an opportunity for skills transfer to their staff.
Business Performance Improvement:
Business Performance Improvement (BPI) focuses on identifying opportunities and strategies for improving the business processes of an organisation based on the needs of their customers, employees and their business strategy. Taking a holistic view, BPI addresses all aspects of the organisation’s operations (e.g. process, staffing, structure, technology). This includes the operational procedures, how they are carried out and who takes responsibility for their execution. By way of illustration, we may focus on making the workflow linked to the application systems more cost-efficient, more productive, less bureaucratic and easier to understand. In doing this, we aim, with the client, to maximise the effectiveness of the organisation from their customer’s perspective. In each case we will customise our BPI methodology to meet the individual need of the client.
Change Management
Change Management brings together the above services with a number of added dimensions, in particular Organisation Structures, Staff, Technology Delivery and in some cases the physical environment. In our experience, two key components for successful Change Management are Business Sponsorship at the highest level in the organisation and effective communication. In so far as possible, all staff and particularly those directly affected by the change must be kept fully informed of the progress of the change projects so as to ensure their support for the overall programme.
In the delivery of all of the above services, Claritas’ approach is to work as partners with our clients. This involves us accepting business ownership with the client for the success of the projects and programmes. Although we have approaches and methodologies and our own approach to managing the relationships with each client, we customize these to the requirements of each client engagement. We have capably and flexibly managed this for many clients in the past and would intend to continue this adaptability in the future.
