Business Transformation Methodology

Our Business Transformation Methodology is based on the many years of accumulated experience that we have gained in working with clients to transform the way their businesses.  It consists of a combination of best practice and pragmatic understanding of what works best. 

Each phase consists of a series of tasks with clearly defined outcomes and deliverables.  Our Business Transformation Methodology is at once logical and comprehensive while also being very intuitive so that your staff can readily understand our approach and so fully partake in a meaningful way in business transformation projects. This enables and empowers them to continue the change process into the future. 

Experience has taught us that each client is unique and that each project has its own particular needs. Consequently we customise our methodology when we have gained a full understanding of your business needs.

Overview of Business Transformation Methodology

Business Strategy Development – We will work with you to develop or reframe your strategy in the form of a comprehensive framework that best reflects what you are trying to achieve at an organisational and/or business unit level. We use this strategic framework to identify and assess how your operations can be improved to more effectively support your strategy.

Business Process Insight – We will undertake, in consultation with your staff (e.g. through facilitated workshops, one-to-one interviews), an analysis and evaluation of your current processes to determine how well they support your strategy taking account other relevant criteria (e.g. fit for purpose, international best practice, efficiency and effectiveness, responsiveness to the needs of customers, cost).

In addition to process, we will also assess your technological and organisational infrastructures, and also the key roles and responsibilities within your organisation so as to identify issues and areas that need to be addressed to ensure that each of these dimensions are fully aligned to support the realisation of your strategic objectives.

Business Process Design – We will undertake a redesign and realignment of existing processes and the design of new processes so that they satisfy agreed evaluation criteria and business requirements. This will include addressing the strategic options for the implementation of these processes (e.g. centralised, decentralised or hybrid model).  In addition, we will support you in addressing any issues in relation to your technology, organisation structure, roles and responsibilities.

Business Transformation Implementation – We will work with you to ensure the successful completion of the project(s) in your business transformation programme. This phase is based on an overall implementation strategy and plan, including the definition of the constituent projects of the business transformation programme, the implementation governance structure and the required resources. We will provide support at both a management and operational level for both the individual projects and the overall business transformation programme.

Project Management, Change Management and Communication Management are ongoing across all phases of our methodology.  The nature of each and the related tasks change as the project progresses through each of the phases.
