Client Experience

As Claritas Consulting we have worked with a wide range of clients in both the private and public sectors. Prior to forming Claritas Consulting, we have worked both together and individually for an extensive range of clients particularly in the financial services, healthcare, professional services and insurance sectors.

Our primary focus is on enabling business change through focusing on Business Process Improvement. However, to succeed in this endeavour we recognise the need to have a range of skills including project management, technology appreciation particularly at a strategic level and change management. On each project, we try to effect skills transfer to client staff so that the skill set of the organisation is enahnced for the future.

Public Sector Client Experience

The client list below is a representative sample of the small, medium and large scale projects that we have successfully completed in public sector organisations.

Health & Safety Authority (HSA)

Claritas Consulting have undertaken a number of projects with the HSA; both strategic and operational. One of the success stories for Claritas Consulting with the HSA was to establish a Workplace Contact Unit.

The HSA commissioned Claritas Consulting to establish a workplace contact function in order to provide a centralised and integrated high quality response service to its workplace customers. The objective was to make the proposed unit the focal point of contact to the Authority, improve the quality of service delivery and improve efficiency and interactions with its customers/workplaces. Operating with a dedicated team, the unit would capture & process requests for information, reports of workplace complaints and reports of workplace fatal and serious accidents and incidents.

Working side by side with the HSA Manager, the Claritas team managed all aspects of the project from inception through to implementation. This involved extensive changes to process, technology & organisation structures.

Based on the adaptation of the Claritas Business Transformation Methodology & Approach, an inclusive business, organisational review & optimisation exercise was undertaken, culminating in the formal establishment of the Workplace Contact Unit, the piloting of the Workplace Contact processes, and the transitioning of existing processes and staff to the new

The Health and Safety Authority’s new Workplace Contact Unit became operational from July 2005, replacing and improving a number of existing customer-focused services.

The seven-month project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.

The successful implementation of the Workplace Contact Unit has resulted in significant improvements to service delivery, to the benefit of the Authority and its customers.  In addition, the capability to proactively target customers has been enabled due to the enhanced capability of systems and processes.

Skillnets

Claritas Consulting Limited were engaged by Skillnets to complete a Lean Operations Review of their current operations. Skillnets has been singularly successful in promoting enterprise led training for people in employment across a wide variety of sectors and industries.  The company, which is funded through the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment, has enjoyed continued growth in terms of training the Networks that it supports.  From the beginning of 2008, Skillnets will support its largest number of networks to date.

The review focused on the Training Networks Programme (TNP) which is the main service delivery channel in Skillnets.  The primary objective of this lean review was to define a streamlined TNP process, supported by the appropriate technology, delivered by dedicated and skilled personnel in a structure that maximises the support provided to the Networks in general and the Network Managers in particular.

Claritas completed a full business process improvement review (process, structure, technology) and put forward a number of recommendations with a proposed implementation strategy and work programme for Skillnets. These process and technology recommendations aimed at bringing significant benefits to Skillnets in terms of elimination and automation of tasks, reduced information retrieval time and reliance on paper, improved reporting capabilities and providing a more comprehensive Information Communications and Technology structure. These recommendations have or are currently being implemented.

Private Sector Client Experience

Claritas Consulting has successfully carried out a number of business transformation, strategic development and change projects for a wide range of private sector clients. We set out below a selection of the clients that we have worked with.

AIB

Claritas Consulting have undertaken numberous business process, programme and change management engagements, reviews and strategic initiatives within AIB (ROI) and at Enterprise level.

Goodbody Stockbrokers (GBS)

Claritas Consulting have engaged with GBS to undertake numerous projects two of which are outlined below.

  • Pensions Review

Claritas Consulting conducted a review of the operation of the Retirement Asset Services Department, where they helped GBS identify opportunities for optimising sales and administration processes and streamlining inefficiencies. Based on the recommendations arising from this review, Claritas Consulting was subsequently responsible for the analysis, design and project management of the implementation of enhanced processes & procedures, underpinned by a new Pensions system.

For GBS, this resulted in the optimisation of pension’s processes and procedures, an enhanced ability to track activities and the development of a greater level of shared understanding between the different organisation units, based on an increased awareness of their different, though inter-dependent, roles and the challenges they face.

  • MiFID

The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) is a European Union law that provides a harmonised regulatory regime for investment services across the 30 member states of the European Economic Area. The main objectives of the Directive are to increase competition and consumer protection in investment services. As of the effective date, 1 November 2007, it replaced the Investment Services Directive.

Claritas Consulting was asked by Goodbody Stockbrokers to manage their MIFID Readiness programme across all business functions. This involved helping GBS to plan and direct all MIFID readiness activities, including technology, policy, compliance, and procedural changes. The MIFID project has come to a successful conclusion, with the Business well positioned to leverage the opportunities presented by this comprehensive Directive.

Ulster Bank (Retail) & First Active (Retail)

Claritas Consulting completed a Training Needs Analysis for Ulster Bank Retail Markets Academy across Retail Branches for Ulster Bank NI/ROI and First Active. Claritas Consulting worked with both banks in order to systematically gather data to identify gaps in the existing skills, knowledge and attitudes of employees within Retail Markets Departments. The output of this TNA allowed both banks to develop an overall training plan that is based on accurate identification of training needs.
